80 Years & Counting!

Thank you for applying for this prestigious event!

For eighty years, the USTA Boys 16s & 18s National Hardcourt Championships have taken place in Kalamazoo, Mich., becoming a junior tennis tradition unlike any other in the country.

Here, the best junior tennis players in the United States descend upon “The Zoo,” as it is affectionately called, for 10 days of intense competition in which the winners of both singles and doubles walk away with a gold ball and the title of National Champion! Another testament showing how important this tournament is to those who play, the 18s champions in both divisions also receive an automatic bid into the MAIN draw of the 2023 US Open at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.

As many of the nation’s best players are showing off their skills on the court, the country’s BEST tennis officials are right here with them. This event gives us the opportunity to officiate the best players in the nation from both on the ground and in the chair, while also providing invaluable skill development and networking opportunities that will only make us better officials. Take advantage of the incredible knowledge and experience surrounding you during your time at Kalamazoo. Remember … there is a fine line between being a good official and being a great official. We want everyone to be GREAT!
